My influentual person project! (Not good copy)

THOMAS EDISON!




Thomas Alva Edison lit up the world with his invention of the electric light. Without him, the world might still be a dark place. However, the electric light was not his only invention. He also invented the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and over 1,200 other things.
Birth: February 11, 1847
Death: October 18, 1931
Known for: Inventing numerous useful devices, including a practical electric light bulb and the phonograph, which was a device used for recording and replaying sound.
Mile stones:
1869 Received his first patent, for a vote-recording machine
1879 Invented the first practical incandescent electric light bulb
1882 Provided electricity, generated by a central power station, to New York City
1891 Finished the kinetoscope, a device designed by Edison and his employee, William Dickson, to produce brief motion pictures.
1910 Invented the Edison battery, which used an alkaline electrolyte.
1913 Produced the first talking motion pictures.
Did You Know?
*As a young man Edison saved a stationmaster's son from being hit by a train, and out of gratitude the stationmaster taught him how to use the telegraph.
*Edison patented over 1,000 inventions.
*Edison worked for the Navy during World War I, improving submarines and flamethrowers.
*Edison was partially deaf.
*When Edison was born Electricity had not been developed. By the time he died, entire cities were lit up by electricity.

Yes, that is why I said htat it wa snot my good copy, but I do hope to make it look really good Presentation wise. I tried to use mmy own words, but I will check it again to make sure! I got my words from lots of different places, and put them together in my own words, so it will be hard to find references.

It was good but maybe in your good copy you could write more about why you think Thomas Edison's inventionS are so important and make sure it is completely in your own words. If you're having trouble finding references, and you got most of your info off Google, search 'Thomas Edison' and the links that come up purple instead of blue might have been sites that you got the info off!
