globalisation

Globalization

Globalization is a way to be global, worldwide, international, intercontinental. While internationalization has inclined to refer to the process, today globalization has become identified with a number of trends, most of which have been particularly evident in the period since World War II. These include:
An increase in a number of standards applied globally; e.g.
copyright laws
An increase in
international trade at a faster rate than the growth in the world economy
Increase in the share of the world economy controlled by
multinational corporations
Development of a
global financial system
Greater international cultural influences, for example through exports of
Hollywood movies
Reduction in global
cultural diversity
Greater international
travel and tourism
Greater sharing of information, by the spreading of technology such as the
Internet and telephone
Greater
immigration, including illegal immigration.

My heaven...

'Wssshh...' The waves lazily crash on the golden sand, as I take another sip of my cool, fresh orange juice. I slowly stretch my body out, and dip my legs into the cool water. I dive in, the lovely water surounding me, as I come up for air. The seagulls are calling, the sun shines down. My ocean, my home.I slowly swim over to an island, covered with palm tree's. As I pull myself up from the smooth water, I once again feel the warmth of the golden sand between my toes. I strech out on a hammok, rocking to and fro. I watch the clouds slowly travel across the sky. The sun is dipping further, but my campfire keeps me warm. I toast marshmallows, as I watch the sun set, streaming oranges and purples into the sky to remind me of its glory. Its getting late. I swim back to the main land, and I am greeted by my cat. As she srokes my legs with her head, wanting attention. I approach my cosy house, and am greeted by my family.'Yawn' i am ready for bed. As I settle into my cosy blanket, I hear the sea splashing.
Ahhh... Heaven.

Laughter!

Research has shown health benefits of laughter ranging from strengthening the immune system to reducing food cravings to increasing one's threshold of pain. There's even an emerging therapeutic field known as humor therapy to help people heal more quickly, among other things. Humor also has several important stress relieving benefits.
I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose. ~Woody Allen

Speed writing!!!

Topic:
I found a monkey in my pyjamas!!
I really liked the post on mudpies blog, so I decided to do one too!!

Heres my speed writing on the topic:

I found a monkey in my pyjamas!! he jumped out and then he ate them! He raced off to the toilet, but i raced after him, tripping him up just as he was about to jump out of my window, to find his spaceship to fly back to the planet bananas! He cunningly bit my hand and then jumped on my hand, escaping out the window. He blasted of in his space ship and just when I thought he was gone, he burped out my pyjamas and they slowly flaoated back to earth,

the end!
